The Tradition

Every year on the first true snowfall we invite our friends to gather for a social evening around a bowl of flaming cider.

Tradition dictates that there be at least enough snow on the ground at our home to make the sacrificial snowball at the time we set the cider aflame. As a result, there is no set date for this event. Instead, we typically make the official “This is Flaming Cider Night” announcement at 2pm on the day the snow falls.

Therefore, if you are interested in joining us, we recommend that you sign up here or just watch this page whenever there is the chance of a flurry – we’ll update it regularly.

We hope to see you when the snow flies!
