It may be warm today but there is a small chance that this weekend will be the one where we actually see some snow in Denver! We are watching the forecast (and the skies) very closely.

Please just keep in mind that the “0.1 inches of snow as measured at DIA” that defines first snow for meteorologists in Denver is NOT how we define it for flaming cider! For flaming cider to occur, we must be able to make the all important sacrificial snowball while the cider burns. Therefore, we do not call the event on until it is either abundantly clear that the snow will stay or until midday when it looks very likely to do so, whichever comes first.

It is not an exact science, so the best we can do is recommend that you stay tuned here, where we will update as the projected storm unfolds!
